Tumbler 101
What IS a tumbler?
- It’s like a regular cup but fancy. All of our tumblers are double-walled kitchen grade stainless steel so they keep hot stuff hot (4-8 hours) and cold stuff cold (up to 24 hours!) plus no annoying condensation or sweat ruining your desk/table/unpaid bills.
But how are they so pretty?
- I take premium loose glitter, paint, inks, fabrics, ritual offerings, etc, and apply them according to your design then I apply 2-5 coats of FDA-compliant epoxy while the cup spins to self-level. I build on designs, layer things between coats, and apply decals but everything is completely sealed with epoxy.
Wait, what’s epoxy??
- Epoxy is a two part synthetic polymer - by mixing both parts together it creates a reaction that hardens in 6-12 hours and cures in about 3 days. It creates a smooth, glass-like finish on our products and they use it to make other stuff like countertops and coat boats and stuff.
So how do I take care of these fancy epoxy tumblers?
- Basically the same way you would a thick wine glass, by refilling often and handling with care. Hand wash only, nothing crazy like dishwashers or microwaves (stainless steel = metal, metal = bad for microwaves). It’s basically like a toddler - don’t leave in a hot car, the freezer, direct sunlight, don’t drop (epoxy can crack from impact), or forget it at the bar.
I promise to handle with care so how do I get one?!
